Kauzer’s sweet obligations
By CSNDecember 9, 2009How did you spend days after the season?
Days after the season were busy. Because of my world title I had lots of interviews. Well I call them sweet obligations. And for sure there were some celebration for my success.
What are you doing in these days?
I’m training easily. Cause of warmer weather I’m paddling most of the time in Tacen and I’m also doing some other stuff besides paddling.
Are you satisfied with the season 2009?
I would be crazy if I wouldn’t be. I am very happy with my season. I was just disappointed about European championships and World cup in Bratislava, where I didn’t get what I came for. The rest was as planned.
First goal is to win Europeans in Bratislava, and major goal is to defend world title in Tacen.
How is going to be your winter preparation?
I took some more time off. But for winter training I will go to Athens and try to paddle as much as possible in Tacen because next year there is the most important race of the season – Worlds.
What are your plans for next year?
At least to repeat past season. First goal is to win Europeans in Bratislava, and major goal is to defend world title in Tacen.
Which are your favourite courses?
Bourg St. Maurice, Bratislava, Athens, Tacen and Pau.
Which other sports do you also like?
Surfing, snowboarding, biathlon, cross-country skiing.

26 years old Slovenian paddler Peter Kauzer was introduced to slalom in 1990 by his dad Peter, who is still his coach. He is studying at the Faculty of sport in Ljubljana. This year was very successful for Peter; he won overall World Cup and highlight of the season World Championship in Seu.
