Benjamin Boukpeti, 28 year old K1 paddler, is first athlete from Togo who won a medal at Olympic Games. He got bronze medal in Beijing in 2008. What are his plans for this year?

How is your winter preparation and where are you going for the training camp?
I was in Togo and I would like to go to Australia to Sydney. No skiing this year, I have to be in good health.

What are your plans for year 2010?
I would like to be in more than one final. Then I know that everything could be possible to get something better.

After Olympics it was really hard to start training again.

How did you spend days after the season?
Some days holidays with my girlfriend and then training smoothly.

Are you satisfied with the season 2009?
Season 2009 was good for me. After Olympics it was really hard to start training again. I had good time on all qualification runs.

Which are your favourite courses?
Bratislava and Bourg St Maurice.

Which sports do you like when are you not paddling?
Ski, squash, bike and play station!
